On June 1st, the Rouen Metropole pilot took a significant step forward by hosting the first meeting of its Territorial Commission for Co-design (TCCD).
This commission, consisting of 17 members comprising Metropolitan agents, citizens, elected representatives, and civil society representatives, convened to lay the groundwork for the actual participatory process starting in April 2024.
The establishment of the TCCD marks a pivotal moment in the PHOENIX pilot initiative undertaken by Rouen Metropole.
The TCCD’s mandate encompasses many responsibilities to facilitate meaningful stakeholder engagement and co-creation. As the preparatory phase unfolds, the commission will work diligently to refine strategies, establish frameworks, and set objectives for the forthcoming participatory process.
Overall, the pilot is aimed at creating a community od citizens’ conventions to foster collaboration and dialogue between municipal and metropolitan levels, with the overarching goal of enhancing the ecological transition within the territory.
