Tartu, December 4, 2023 – In a significant step towards promoting food sustainability, the city of Tartu has initiated a comprehensive online survey on citizens’ attitudes and behaviours. Collaborating with the Tartu Climate Council and Digitalisation (TCCD) and consulting with experts, the survey aims to gauge public opinions on food sustainability practices. This inclusive survey, currently ongoing until December 31, 2023, invites Tartu’s residents to share their insights through various channels of communication within the city.

The collected data is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the forthcoming Citizen Assembly on Food Sustainability. The collaborative effort between the city and key stakeholders underscores the commitment to fostering environmentally friendly practices and community-driven solutions. As citizens actively participate in shaping the survey’s outcomes, Tartu moves closer to establishing a more sustainable and resilient food system.
