He has a master’s degree in Participatory Research for Local Development (UCM), a master’s degree in Cultural Management (UOC) and a doctorate in Political Science (UCM). He did his doctoral thesis on participatory processes at national scales in Brazil with a research grant from the Spanish Agency for Cooperation and Development (AECID)
He has participated in different research and participation projects associated with the social economy sector and different urban social movements. He has been an associate researcher for programs such as Prodep (Participatory Democracy Project) or the Instituto da Democracia (both in Brazil). He also has experience in advising on the development of public policies, both to different networks of municipalities (such as the United Cities and Local Governments network) and as an advisor to political parties.
Some of his works have been published in journals such as the Revista Internacional de Sociología (JCR Journal), Revista Española de Ciencia Política or Teknokultura.
